Naveen appoints Special Officer to manage Rath Jatra festival

With the controversy over the prevailing practice of climbing the chariots of Lord Jagannath by devotees during the Rath Jatra intensifying, Odisha government today appointed senior bureaucrat Suresh Chandra Mohapatra as the Special Officer to manage the festival.
