Government clears defence projects worth Rs 80,000 crores

The projects were approved during the meeting of the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) ,chaired by Defence Minister Arun Jaitley. Among the decision taken by the council today, the list includes building six submarines indigenously at a cost of about 50,000 crore rupees.
