Markets hit new lifetime highs; Sensex nears 28,000

Markets on Monday hit new lifetime highs with the benchmark BSE Sensex rising to 27,969.82 and the NSE Nifty scaling another peak 8,350.60 in early trade today on sustained inflow of foreign funds.
